Trained in the Valley

🌄 TRAINED IN THE VALLEY

Everybody loves to talk about the mountain. How high it is. How holy it feels. How beautiful the view can be once you finally reach the top.

But nobody wants to talk about the valley —that low place where the shadows stretch long and the air gets heavy and the path feels lonely and the questions get loud.

But hear me…

It wasn’t the MOUNTAIN that trained me. It was the valley.

The place I cried. The place I bled. The place I fought battles nobody saw. The place where people left, lied, or broke me. The place where my strength had to learn how to stand when everything else fell.

You want to know where warriors are made?

Not on mountaintops. Not in sunshine. Not in safety.

They are forged where the ground is cold and the nights are long and the darkness whispers, “You won’t survive this.”

Because the valley doesn’t ASK you who you are —it REVEALS it.

The valley shows you:

  • what you really believe

  • what you truly value

  • what you refuse to lose

  • and WHO you choose to trust

See, I wasn’t shaped by applause. I was shaped by pressure.

I didn’t grow because life was gentle. I grew because life was honest.

God didn’t lift me up to teach me. He walked me down into the low place and whispered:

“Daughter, watch what I do down here.”

And listen —

Everything the valley tried to kill in me, GOD PROTECTED.

My mind? Kept. My heart? Guarded. My purpose? Hidden until the right season. My strength? Strengthened. My voice? Sharpened. My identity? Rooted deeper than the pain that tried to bury it.

The valley didn’t break me. The valley BUILT me.

And one day —when the pressing was done and the tears dried and the fear finally backed up off me —I realized something:

Oil doesn’t come from comfort. Oil comes from crushing.

And the oil on my life didn’t come cheap.

So if you ever see me walk into a room with confidence, if you ever hear me speak with clarity, if you ever wonder why my back is straight and my voice is steady…

It’s because I am a woman who has been TRAINED in the valley and KEPT by the King.

And now?

I help the lost sheep find their way back. Because I know the terrain. I survived the wolves. I learned the traps. I walked the hard road and made it out.

So I tell my story.

Not for fame. Not for attention. But because somebody else is still in that valley crying prayers I once cried believing lies I once believed feeling pain I once felt and thinking they can’t make it out.

Oh, but you CAN. And you WILL.

Because the same God who walked me through it will walk you out of it.

So here’s your encouragement today:

**Don’t despise your valley.

That’s where warriors are born. That’s where purpose is forged. That’s where oil is pressed. That’s where God trains His strongest soldiers.**

And when He brings you out —you won’t just survive.

You’ll LEAD.

You’ll HEAL.

You’ll TEACH.

You’ll SHINE.

And you’ll know without a doubt:

“It wasn’t the mountain that made me. It was the valley —and the God who walked with me in it.”

In His Name
