After the Storm

Some people love the rain. Some people don’t.

I love the rain—but I don’t love driving in it, especially when reckless drivers forget that wet roads require wisdom. Rain reveals how people move when conditions change.

Life does the same.

We all face storms.

A storm is a season of disruption—when things feel unstable, visibility is low, and control seems lost. Storms can be emotional, spiritual, physical, or relational. And no, storms don’t always pass quickly. Some linger. Some break into patches so disorienting that you feel shipwrecked—isolated on an island, cut off, wondering how you got here.

Storms in our lives come for various reasons, but one thing is certain: they must come.

But here’s the reassurance—We serve a righteous God, and He has already placed everything you need inside of you to make it through the storm.

If God brought you to it, He will bring you through it.

I decree and declare that you are more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus who strengthens you. Not barely surviving. Not barely holding on. More than a conqueror.

Remember the moment when Jesus was on the boat with His disciples. The storm was raging, waves crashing, fear escalating—yet Jesus was asleep. The disciples were focused on the storm. Jesus was resting in authority.

That wasn’t negligence. That was trust.

I want you to remember this: God is ever-present, even in your storm. The same Jesus Christ who spoke to the wind and the water and said, “Peace, be still,” is the same God we serve today.

And He has already given you peace—peace that surpasses all understanding.

So do not be afraid. Do not panic. Do not assume the storm means abandonment.

Know this: our ever-present God is with you always—before the storm, in the storm, and after the storm.

Find peace. Find solace. And rest in Him.

God bless you all. 🌿
