SO YOU SAY YOU’RE CHURCH HURT?

By Dr. KiKi Williams — Daughter of Zion, Chosen of God

Let me talk to you straight—because your soul deserves the truth, not another excuse to hide behind.

Over the years I’ve heard it said over and over:

“I don’t go to church anymore because the church hurt me.” “The pastor let me down.” “Sister Beulah rolled her eyes at me.” “They fake, so I stopped going.” “Now I doubt God.”

Hold up. Pump the brakes. Let’s walk this out together.

You doubt God because of man’s actions?

You turned your back on the Creator because His creation mishandled you?

You walked away from the One who died for you because someone who never hung on a cross rolled their eyes at you?

Let me ask you something: Did Sister Beulah die for your sins? Did the pastor shed one drop of blood to save your soul? Did any of them get whipped, pierced, mocked, and murdered for your eternity?

No? Then why is He the one you punished?

Why does God get blamed for what man did?

The Word says:

“Put not your trust in princes, in mortal man, who cannot save.”—Psalm 146:3

But we do it anyway. We trust man, man fails—as man does—and then we blame God. We stop praying. We stop worshiping. We stop growing.

But the Bible also says:

“Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.”—John 8:7

And oh, sinner—yes, I’m talking to you with love—have YOU stopped sinning?

Has God stopped loving you when YOU turned your back on HIM?

Did Jesus ever say, “I’m done with them—I'm God-hurt”?

Absolutely not.

He hung on that cross anyway. He rose anyway. He intercedes for you anyway. He calls you back anyway.

He is the Good Shepherd, and the Shepherd always comes back for His sheep.

Even the stubborn ones. Even the wounded ones. Even the ones running full speed in the wrong direction.

But hear me: Just because the Shepherd searches doesn’t mean the sheep shouldn’t move.

So today, I’m issuing a challenge—a holy one.

🔥 THE RETURN CHALLENGE:

If you are “church hurt, ”I challenge YOU to be the one who comes back to the Father before He has to come looking for you.

Not out of guilt. Not out of fear. But because it’s right. Because it’s time. Because deep down, you know you’ve been gone too long.

And let me say this with clarity:

If you do not return willingly, truthfully, and honestly—then don’t take this challenge. God examines the heart, and He will not be lied to.

Remember Ananias and Sapphira? One lie. One breath. One moment of pretending—and God said, “No. Not in My house.”(Acts 5)

So stop blaming God for man. Stop projecting your pain onto a perfect Savior. Stop letting offense lead you to hell when forgiveness can lead you home.

God didn’t hurt you.

Man did.

So why are YOU still hurting yourself by staying away from the One who never stopped loving you?

It is written:

“If you deny Me, I will also deny you.”—Matthew 10:33

But hear this too:

“Return to Me, and I will return to you,” says the Lord.—Malachi 3:7

He’s waiting.

Not with judgment. Not with condemnation. But with a Father’s arms open wide, hoping today is the day His child comes home.

The door is open. The Shepherd is calling. And grace is still available.

Come home. Before you run out of reasons to stay gone.
